Saturday I had group training for 8 miles. Then Sheri and I changed clothes and headed to the Dirty Girl Mud Run.
It was a blast! I really just feel like a big kid running up and over things, getting dirty, and having a great time.
This first obstacle I had a great time listening to all of women participating laughing and screaming and having a ball. You couldn’t help but smile.
I don’t really remember the order of the obstacles after that but there was a lot of crawling through mud pits and up and over things. Least favorite was the horizontal cargo netting. I couldn’t figure out if I should on all fours with my butt in the air, or crabwalk. I ended up crabwalking the first half. When I got to the pole in the middle I switched gears and just layed sideways and rolled. The ropes were hard and left their marks but I was still laughing.
Favorite obstacle was the big slide into the mud pit. I didn’t eat any mud though!
And we made it! I would do it again tomorrow if I could.
And to top off an already fun day. We cleaned up and headed downtown for a little Husker tailgating. Go Big Red!
I was exhausted by the time I got home that night but what an absolutely fantastic day!
Do you like to do mud runs and/or obstacle runs?
